10 days Marrakech Morocco tour

day 1: Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, reception at the airport and transfer to your riad. You will explore the medina and its souks if you arrive in the morning. Night in a riad.

Day 2: MArrakech – Essaouira

Begin your trip from Marrakech to Essaouira, a charming coastal town renowned for its UNESCO-listed medina and picturesque beaches. Explore the narrow lanes, visit the bustling harbor and soak up the city’s maritime atmosphere.

Day 3: Essaouira – Casablanca – Rabat

Leave Essaouira and head to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city. Visit iconic sites such as the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Then, continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you can discover the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower and the historic medina.

Day 4: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

Depart from Rabat and travel to Meknes, an imperial city known for its ramparts, monumental gates and grand architecture. Visit sites such as the Bab Mansour Gate, the Royal Stables and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
Next, make a stop at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman archaeological site. Admire ancient ruins and learn about the history of this ancient Roman city.
End the day arriving in Chefchaouen, the famous “blue city” nestled in the Rif Mountains. Explore its picturesque alleys and enjoy the city’s unique atmosphere.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Fes

Spend the morning further exploring the beauty of Chefchaouen. Admire the distinct blue architecture, visit the local souks, and see the Akchour waterfalls if you wish.
After that, head towards Fez, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities. Enjoy a stroll through the medieval medina of Fez el-Bali, with its labyrinthine alleys, bustling markets and historical monuments.

Day 6: Fes

Spend this day exploring the fascinating city of Fez. Visit sites such as the famous Al-Qaraouiyine University, the Nejjarine Mosque and Fountain, the Royal Palace, and the former Jewish quarters. Soak up the history and culture of this bustling city.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Leave Fes and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains passing through the charming town of Ifrane, often called “Moroccan Switzerland”. Admire its European architecture and enjoy the surrounding mountainous landscape.
Continue to Midelt, a town located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Take a break to rest and enjoy panoramic views of the mountainous landscapes.
Continue your journey to Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert landscapes.
Finally, reach Merzouga, where you will spend the night in a Berber camp in the heart of the sand dunes of the Merzouga desert. Enjoy an unforgettable experience watching the sunset over the dunes and soaking up the magical desert vibe.

Day 8: Merzouga

Enjoy a full day in Merzouga to explore the desert surroundings. You can take a camel ride to discover the big dunes of Erg Chebbi, visit a local nomadic village, go sandboarding on the dunes or just relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the desert.

Day 9: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra gorges – dades gorges

Departure from Merzouga and direction Rissani, a historic town renowned for its bustling traditional market. Explore the local souk and learn about local crafts, spices and traditional products.
Next, continue to the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon carved by the Todra River. Admire the impressive cliffs and take a walk along the river.

Spend the afternoon exploring the Todra Gorge before heading to the Dades Gorge. Enjoy the stunning scenery as you cross the Dades Valley with its unique rock formations and picturesque Berber villages.

Day 10: Dades gorges – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech

Leave the Dades Gorge and continue your journey passing through the Valley of Roses, Kelaa Mgouna, known for its roses and rose products.
Next, visit the Skoura palm grove, a lush oasis with historic kasbahs and verdant gardens.
Continue to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the famous film studio and the Kasbah of Taourirt.
Finally, end your trip with a drive to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a well-preserved ancient kasbah. Explore its narrow streets and admire the traditional architecture.
Return to Marrakech where you can end your trip.
